Jewellers Follow a Stringent Process in Valuing Diamond Rings

Every now and then, you might be wondering if it’s time to trade your old gem for a new one. Once the time comes for you to part ways with your old diamond ring, you can’t help but ask yourself: how much is my ring worth?
Online calculators are made available to give people an idea on how much their ring might cost. Even with the prevalence of these online tools, only professional jewellers can put a definite value on diamond rings, though the process is more complex than you’d expect. In essence, jewellers determine the ring’s worth by estimating the value of the metal in the band and the gems set in it and the style in which they are combined. All of these factors, however, are evaluated in different ways.
One must always bear in mind that the value of a ring for sale, part exchange or insurance are all different and vary enormously. Be clear what the purpose of your query is and your jeweller can better serve you. Read more from this blog: http://bit.ly/2oAF876
